Peter van Bolhuis (1952 – 2005) landscape architect followed his passion for aerial photography beginning in 1998. His photos display the special qualities of the city and show in a wonderful way the never-ending battle to make the land hospitable.
Van Bolhuis recognized the qualities of the city and the countryside and had insight into the spatial processes. Textures and patterns play an important role in his pictures. He always tried to represent the characteristics of the environment and thus to capture the essence of an area. In his pictures aesthetics play an important role.
